Interesting home in Belgium which tries to integrate itself into the environment. Raising the house above the ground allows the roots of the trees and natural vegetation to continue to grow. The surrounding environment in the form of three trees become part of the architecture as centerpieces in the courtyard. The shape allows views in all directions as well as interesting arrangements of the living spaces and hallways. The house exemplifies considerate architecture, even if the concrete chills the feet, but the residents must have slippers.
