National Parliament Principality of Liechtenstein- Hansjoerg Goeritz Architekterstudio

I saw this building in a magazine a few weeks ago and I immediately fell in love with the use of rigid geometry and colour. I couldn’t find any pictures, so I never posted it, but I finally found some this morning. Taking a closer look at it, I am gaining more respect for it. Materials such as wood, brick and concrete are all used harmoniously together and the brickwork is just superb. Also those columns invoke such an image of timelessness compared to the monotonous round columns architects use in modern public buildings. This building plays to our sense of touch and sight with its varying textures and magnificent lines. The national parliament is a complete work.
